Come celebrate the release of Franz's final CD - "Franz Jackson: Milestone"!
Immediately following the 2012 Franz Jackson Jazz Celebration which takes place from 5:00-8:00pm, we will have an "all-star" lineup of musicians who played with Franz, many of whom were part of his 95th birthday concert gala in 2007 and who appear on "Milestone". The CD Release Party officially starts at 8:00pm, but come early for the Jazz Celebration and enjoy all of the evening fabulous performances for one ticket price! Add to that the fabulous food and beverages at the Wood Fire and throw in a free digital download for every adult CD party ticket holder and you've got another great celebration in Franz's honor!
Our lineup scheduled to appear features some popular names from Chicago including saxophonist Eric Schneider, trumpeter Yves Francois, the lovely vocalist Judi K, pianist Bob Dogan, Dan Shapera on bass and drummer extraordinaire Billy "Stix" Nicks from South Bend! All of the original performers from Franz's 95th birthday concert have been invited to come and sit in so there's no telling how much great music will be made that night and you'll definitely want to be a part of it all!
